Inspired Getaways are committed to achieving positive outcomes for our clients. Not every Inspired Getaway (STA) is all Sunshine & Rainbows or without its challenges.

We have been able to assist people with disability out of unsafe housing, homelessness, and domestic violence situations. We have successfully achieved this through our short-term, transitional accommodation options available to NDIS participants. This allows us the time to assist in securing suitable, safe, and permanent housing where possible. Our team members are highly trained to handle and progress through some of the most difficult situations caused by conflict and trauma.

We aim to provide each of our client’s great opportunities, assist them to reach good outcomes, and provide support for ongoing positive change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Short Term Accommodation, also known as respite is supports and accommodation for NDIS participants for a short time away from home. It can include a short stay with other people – for example a family member or carers, or it could be by yourself. STA can be used for somewhere to stay when your usual carers/supports are unavailable, in a time of emergency or when you would like to try new experiences and learn new things.

NDIS STA can be used for up to 14 days at a time and for a maximum of 28 days per year. Our most popular Inspired Getaways are between 5 and 10 days, however you may prefer less or more time away, the choice is yours.

We understand everyone’s NDIS plans are unique so it’s a good idea to speak with your support coordinator and or plan manager to confirm your eligibility for STA funding and the number of days you can access.

Our Inspired Getaways (STA) service is fully funded by your NDIS plan, making the STA a ‘no out-of-pocket expense’ STA (other than any discretionary spending).

This means you receive the following,

  • Tailored supports from a qualified and experienced professional or as we like to call them ‘Getaway Guides’
  • Transport for all outings (wheelchair accessible transport available)
  • All meals included
  • Agreed activities, outings and skill building exercises included
